Mazatlán is the beach city of the state of Sinaloa and one of the most visited in the Mexican northwest.

It is a tourist complex called the “pearl of the Pacific” for its landscapes, attractive beaches and architectural wonders influenced by the French Baroque and the neoclassical era.

Mazatlan has a Historic Center with buildings such as Plazuela Machado, the Angela Peralta Theater, the former Iturbide Hotel (now the Municipal Arts Center) and the San José Temple, among others.

Several events bring life to Mazatlan during the summer, among which its famous carnival stands out, where more than 600,000 people from all over the world have gathered.

Other attractive traditions of the “pearl of the Pacific” are the Day of the Dead festivals and the José Limón Dance Festival, which have made Mazatlan one of the most cultural cities in the Mexican northwest.

The favorite season for tourists to visit Mazatlan and visit its beaches starts from mid-May to mid-June, when the rain decreases.

The best beaches in the area are Las Gaviotas Beach and Camarón Beach, where activities such as wave-runner, parasailing, kayaking, Hobie cats, sport fishing and banana rides can be booked.
